Update About Our Next Assignment

"Do you not say, 'Four months more and then the harvest '? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest" (John 4:35).

Kathy and I hope your summer is going well and you are enjoying the favor of the Lord. Lord willing, we plan to move to our nation's capital on August 4 to plant our next church. Will you help us start this church together, as one?

After several fruitful survey trips, we are led to plant in the neighborhood known as NoMa (north of Massachusetts Avenue) in the District of Columbia. We are excited to begin the work God is calling us to do -- reaching souls for Christ, discipling, and planting New Life NoMa -- and we pray for the church to be self-sustaining in 12 months by God's grace.

Our heart is for the throngs of millennials -- reportedly the loneliest of generations, despite the popularity of social media -- who do not yet know Jesus in D.C. They need a face-to-face encounter with the living God who loves them, who saves, and has a purpose for their life.

The cost of living is very high in D.C. However, we know it is worth every penny and all we are to reach this generation for Jesus Christ. Kathy and I have down-sized again and are selling personal items to fulfill the vision of planting the church in Washington. We are glad to do it. But we need your help also!

Our current shortfall is $1600 per month until December 1, 2017, or 4 months ($6400). At that time, we are optimistic that our new disciples will have learned the discipleship habit of tithing and their giving will meet the church's beginning shortfall.

Would you please consider partnering with us and our ministry of church planting?

We and countless others will be forever grateful as God's kingdom is enlarged, New Life NoMa is planted, and the Lord is glorified. May all of us hear, "Well done!" from the Savior.

Time is short. Thanks to all who are praying and supporting us through Make Ministries. There is now a wonderful church planted in North Wales that says, "Thank you!"

We love and appreciate you! You send us, but we go as one. Still, we need more to come alongside to help us with our mission to start a church in Washington, D.C. Will you prayerfully consider helping financially?
